Oculofacial plastic and reconstructive surgery is a specialized area of ophthalmology with a focus on the structure and function of ocular tissues.  More specifically, oculoplastic surgeons work on the eyelids, the tear drainage (lacrimal) system, the tissues around the eyes and the surrounding bones.
